Joanne moved to San Francisco in 2000 and began working in the construction and painting industry. She started her own painting business in 2003. Her interest in the contracting business grew after purchasing her first property, which required a large amount of renovation work and design. Joanne realized that she could combine her experience of restoring her own home with her inside knowledge and contacts in the construction industry. In 2007, Joanne set up her own construction company: Cronin Construction and Development Inc. Joanne is a now a certified green builder and is passionate about creating her clients visions with a focus on sustainability where possible.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION

We are frequently invited to join the project team during the design phase. This allows us to work closely with the client and architect to develop a preliminary construction schedule and budget estimate. Early input from our staff and trusted subcontractors can offer invaluable insight into the cost and feasibility associated with key scopes of work.

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

With permit in hand, construction gets underway immediately. Our full-time project manager will layout the work and direct all subcontractor and self-perform labor on site. Back at the office, we will control the relationship between the contract budget and the schedule. The project manager will also ensure that the client, architect, and subcontractors are all on the same page as various aspects of the project evolve.

POST-CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

When construction is complete, we will walk the project with our clients and discuss the homeowner’s binder, which includes product manuals, system operation instructions, emergency shutdown procedures, maintenance requirements, and warranty policies. As our clients settle in and we move out, we will be standing by to deliver on the promise of our warranty.

Environmental Stewardship

Cronin Construction strives to be a responsible manager of our finite resources. In an industry synonymous with waste we are committed to interrupting that cycle. While creating beautiful, modern healthy homes for their clients they use low/no voc products and FSC lumber as a standard practice. During deconstruction all materials are prepped for either re use, recycled or donation to local builders up-cycle centers. Waste is seen as a resource. Employing LEED and Green Building practices are integral to this work. Using the most modern building practices and materials to make the envelope as sustainable as possible. Solar, geo-thermal heat, appropriate insulation, air quality monitoring, green roofs, efficient heating systems all play a part. We love working with our Clients, Architects and Designers creating their vision while also caring for our environment”
